Beers & Ideas - Auckland Edition

Come along to the inaugural Beers & Ideas – a laidback evening of conversation, beers, nibbles and an epic BBQ prepared by Matt of Rum & Que - a well-known BBQ team who regularly compete on the BBQ circuit

Hellers Sharp Black and Aussie Butcher New Lynn Director, Reuben Sharples will get the ball rolling on the night with his ideas that transcend the basics. Collectively, we’re keen to chat about what’s trending and ignite some new ideas for products and adding value into your business. This is designed to be an informal evening of networking and sharing, as opposed to a presentation, so who knows where the conversation will lead us!

Thursday 29 August from 6.30pm – 8.00pm
At 1a Charles Street, Mt Eden (parking around the back of the building)
Beers & Ideas is free for members ($20 for non-members, payable by cash or eftpos on the night)

GRAND FINAL

At the Grand Final the ANZCO Foods Butcher Apprentices will tackle the same cuts as they did at the regionals, plus one mystery cut which they find out about five minutes before the competition starts. The ANZCO Foods Butcher Apprentice competitors also have the addition of an interview and multiple-choice exam.

This year, the Alto Butcher Grand Final will see competitors given all mystery cuts five minutes before the competition begins with no compulsory elements included, leaving them to create their ultimate wish-list of value-added cuts.

There will be six finalists in each category at the Grand Final. The first four will be the winners from each of the regionals. The remaining finalists will be taken from the overall top marks across the nation.

The Alto Butcher and ANZCO Foods Butcher Apprentice of the Year Grand Final is staged in Auckland’s Shed 10 as part of a glitzy dinner which is a much-anticipated highlight on the industry calendar.
