*NEW DATE FOR THE CONFERENCE* Following feedback from our members we have decided to move the conference to later in the year and combine this with another RMNZ event, the Dunninghams Great NZ Sausage Mixer Awards, which will now be the main networking event alongside the conference on the Wednesday evening. This is an effort to save our members time away from their businesses and also save on the cost of attending two events.

Dates: Tues 13 - Wed 14 October 2026

Locations: The Kingslander for the Meat Up Welcome Function Tuesday evening and the World Cup Lounge, Eden Park for the conference and Dunninghams Sausage Mixer Awards on the Wednesday.

Purpose

The Butchers' Summit aims to provide a platform for our members to network, foster relationships and create longstanding industry connections. Our speakers will tackle current and future topics to challenge, motivate, and inspire fresh perspectives, allowing delegates to apply new insights to maximise their business success.

Our delegates include independent butchers, supermarket butchery managers, wholesalers, processors, and industry suppliers, making this one of the most significant networking opportunities for our retail meat sector.

Format

The Butchers’ Summit is now a full-day event, kicking off with welcome drinks the night before. This year, delegates can also join an optional Butchers’ Tour taking place the day before the summit.

Tuesday 13 October (Optional daytime activity) Butchers' Tour – Visit a selection of Auckland butcher shops and go behind the scenes with some of our Auckland-based industry suppliers.

Tuesday 13 October (Evening) Meat Up Welcome Drinks – Connect with fellow delegates at The Kingslander.

Wednesday 14 October (Full day & evening) Butchers' Summit Conference – A full day of inspiring speakers and networking, followed by the Dunninghams Sausage Mixer Awards
