Top entries in each category may be awarded Category Champion, Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.

The top 10th percentile of scores per category will be awarded Gold Medals, scores that fall between the next consecutive 10th percentile will be awarded Silver Medals and products that score within the following 10th percentile will be awarded Bronze Medals. The top-scoring product for each category will be awarded a Category Champion Medal.

Supreme Award

A Supreme winner in each category (Bacon and Ham) will be determined.

People’s Choice Awards

A People’s Choice winner in each category (Bacon and Ham) will be determined by public voting.

All stores or businesses entered in the competition will automatically be entered into the People’s Choice Awards. Voting for the awards will take place between Monday 20th May to Friday 21st June. The public will vote for their favourite producer online. The voting platform will be made live on the NZPork website. Entrants will be sent the voting materials and voting link to encourage their followers and customers to vote for their store.

The winners will be announced at the Awards Dinner and will receive exclusive People’s Choice medal labels, valid for use on 100% NZ pork products entered in that year’s competition.

All winners will receive medal labels, 1x ticket for the awards dinner, a framed certificate, display posters and media coverage where possible.

The Supreme Award winners of the 100% NZ Bacon & Ham Awards will be invited to attend the NZPork conference in Wellington on Tuesday 30th July 2024. Flights, accommodation and conference registration (including conference dinner) per Supreme Award winner will be covered by NZPork as part of the prize.
