Important Changes to Event Dates 2026

The RMNZ team is gearing up for another big year of events.

This year, we have a couple of date changes that we wanted to communicate to you as soon as possible to help you plan for the year. This applies to the Butchers’ Summit and the 100% New Zealand Bacon and Ham Awards.

Butchers’ Summit

Based on member feedback, the Summit has been moved later in the year and will now align with the Dunninghams Great NZ Sausage Mixer Awards.

This should assist our members in reducing travel costs and time away from their businesses - especially if you are collecting a medal. The Sausage Awards evening will serve as the main networking event for the Summit.

Registrations open: 7 July
Event Dates: 13–14 October
Location: Eden Park, Auckland

100% New Zealand Bacon and Ham Awards

This competition has been brought forward by two weeks to give medalists time to showcase their wins at the Auckland Food Show.

Registrations open: 18 March
Registrations close: 22 April
Sending entries: 18–21 May
Awards Dinner: 30 June, Maritime Room, Auckland Viaduct
